Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aids consist of two pieces that are connected together. A small, slim case houses the circuitry of the aid and fits behind the ear. This is connected to a custom earmold that fits inside the ear.
Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC) aids are smallest hearing aids available. All components of the aid are contained in a custom shell that fits deeply in the canal portion of the ear where they are hidden in the shadow of your ear canal.
In-The-Ear (ITE) aids are one-piece instruments custom-designed to occupy the entire bowl region of the outer ear.
In-The-Canal (ITC) aids are small enough to fit almost entirely in your ear canal, occupying about one-quarter of the bowl-like outer portion of your ear, to reduce visibility significantly.
